Summary

A desktop arrived not powering on, and inspection revealed a heavy buildup of debris from a past roach infestation. The mess was mainly around the power supply, raising concerns about a possible short circuit and system damage. The customer needed a thorough repair to get their system running again.

The Work

Assessed the ASUS GL12CP-DS751 for power issues and possible electrical short
Removed debris and thoroughly cleaned all hardware components
Replaced the damaged power supply with a new 850W ATX 3.0 & PCIE 5.0 compatible unit
Installed, set up, and tested the new power supply to confirm proper operation

The Outcome

The computer powered on and operated as expected after the repair. Cleaning the system and installing a reliable power supply helped prevent future issues and improved overall performance.
